Trinity Grove, an Esoteric Druid Order

"In the primitive Christianity of these islands we touch something very simple and pure and very close to Nature, for there were no disputes between the priests of the Sun and the priests of the Son when the inspiration of the Graal first came to these islands - the one merged naturally into the other." (Dion Fortune)
Rooted in the ancient Celtic mysteries as well as the traditions of cultural and fraternal Druidism, the group is now mainly virtual with ongoing discussions through MeWe and facebook groups and a correspondence course. We have members in Switzerland, Italy, Serbia, Spain, England, Scotland, Wales, the USA, Brazil and Argentina, many of whom who have received initiations in person from Tau Blaise (Frater +Alistair), the Chief Druid of the Grove. In the year 2002, Tau Blaise completed the Druid Grade in the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids, a descendent of the Druid Order founded by George Watson Macgregor Reid in 1909. We also hold several Gnostic lineages including this one.
Rituals are held at Solstices and Equinoxes and usually the Cross Quarter days too - and draw on the Druidic traditions of Iolo Morganwg (founder of the Gorsedd of Bards of the Isle of Britain), the Ancient Order of Druids, the Universal Bond, the original (ie. Universalist) rituals of the Order of Bards Ovates and Druids and other more innovative and recent Celtic sources particularly from the Druidcraft tradition. In contrast to most modern Druid groups Trinity Grove is broadly esoteric and universalist and also makes extensive use of Celtic and Anglo-Saxon shamanic teachings and practices. Like some of our 18th century neo-Druidic forebears, we also affirm the common ground shared between Druidism and Vedic Hinduism, and put particular emphasis on spiritual development through meditation practice.
The Grove offers its own distinctive initiations to the grades of Bard, Ovate and Druid, drawing inspiration particularly from the fraternal and cultural Druid traditions of the 18th and 19th centuries . Trinity Grove was officially incorporated into the Holy Celtic Order of the Temple in December 2011. For enquiries about Trinity Grove please use the contact form below.

Trinity Grove Online Bardic Course

Each lesson includes the lore concerning one sacred plant or tree and one animal or bird, with particular attention being given to any connections with the Celtic Saints. One saint is discussed in each lesson. There is also an "Inner Planes Pilgrimage" (guided visualisation) to a sacred site of significance in each lesson and some teaching of either a historical, theological, or philosophical nature. Following tradition, the grade of Bard is chiefly concerned with orientation within the circle and learning the basics of Druidic history, theory and ritual practice. After the basic Bardic grade studies have been achieved over the first eight lessons of the course the remaining four lessons give a flavour of the Ovate and Druid Grades with more concentration on, healing, ritual leadership and spirituality. This course is designed to be taken a lesson for each month of the year, beginning in November, however, students will be able to access all of the lessons at once if they so desire, and may begin at any time of year. The initiations to the Bardic and Ovate grades may be conducted in person, via video link, or solo. The Druid initiation must be performed in person or via video link with the Druid tutor. For those studying in the Ovate and Druid grades we offer tuition in a number of healing modalities as well as an extensive ebook library.
Membership of Trinity Grove costs 60 euros and gives the member access to seasonal rituals and resources for all three traditional grades.
Personal tuition and initiations are also available via video link or with Tau Blaise in person, in Switzerland or Norway. Please see this link for Residential Courses.

Druidic Initiations at St Gall's Retreat, June 2019

"The original working of the (ancient Celtic) Mysteries looked first backwards and then forwards, and upon their basic teaching we may found the traditions and mysteries of our western schools. In those early days the two great principles were those of Knowledge and of Beauty, sometimes called Science and Art, symbolized by two great figures, one male and one female. These were the two fundamental principles of those early days - Wisdom and Beauty - and the experience of the initiate in these first mysteries was to become conscious of the third great principle - the warmth and strength of Love, later exemplified to the world in the coming of the Christ.
The old priests of the Hibernian Mysteries knew that He would come. They initiated their neophytes in the path of Love, but though they demanded faith of their followers they themselves knew that it was only a question of time. They could see clairvoyantly that one was on His way who would bring this third great principle among men in its supreme earthly form and would bring it into actual materialization that it might be seen and in some small way understood by those who were to be born again in the uncounted generations of the future and whose work in this material world would be to live that Love united with the Wisdom and Beauty of the first mysteries, so that in due course the Perfect Man might be evolved, standing with the unyielding balance of the perfectly aligned.
The priests even before His coming spoke of Him as a living Being not yet in material manifestation; they saw Him clairvoyantly and spoke of Him as one who would-come to give the gift that comes only of the Spirit - Strength in the Heart. So deeply were they versed in their work as seers, so developed their clairvoyant perceptions, that it was the priests of the Hibernian Temples and of no others who were able to report the happenings of the crucifixion in all its details at the very hour when it was being enacted."
