Apostolic Succession from L'Ordre du Temple
In 1804 several Frenchmen, including a former
Roman Catholic priest, Bernard Fabré-Palaprat
(1777-1838), founded the Ordre du Temple and, using the Larmenius Charter, declared it to be a continuation of the medieval Templar Order suppressed in 1312. Many former RC clergy joined the order and the affiliated church, Eglise Johannite des Chrétiens Primitifs, which was influential in the revival of esoteric Catholicism and Templarism. Several churches and orders, including our own, are proud to trace a line of Apostolic Succession (below) through this nineteenth century neo-Templar movement.
