The Hermit Brethren of the Rosy Cross
a side order of the Holy Celtic Order of the Temple
The Hermit Brethren of the Rosy Cross are a group of Liberal Catholic and Gnostic clergy, with a particular interest in theurgy, who as solitary practitioners, work privately a series of Rosicrucian initiations based on those written by A.E. Waite for the Fellowship of the Rosy Cross. As an exception to the general rule, suitable lay men and women may be admitted as Confratres and Consorores.
Members study and practice Rosicrucianism, broadly, and may also study and practice related areas such as Martinism, Kabbalah, Hermeticism, Alchemy and other strands of the Western Mystery Tradition, according to personal interest. They meet on occasion both in person and virtually, for worship, and to celebrate the Solstices and Equinoxs according to Rosicrucian rites. They also share study, ritual and worship resources through a facebook group which serves as a general point of connection between the brethren. Admittance to this side order of the HCOT is by invitation.
